Ivy, born and raised in Accra, brought her love of homemade Ghanaian cooking with her when she moved to Canada in the early 2000s. In 2016, she began preparing traditional dishes and sharing them at local markets in Owen Sound, introducing the Grey Bruce community to the bold, comforting flavors of her homeland. What started as a passion project quickly grew into something greater.

By 2021, Ivy took a leap of faith and made Dede’s her full-time pursuit. Today, Dede’s has become a household name across Grey Bruce — and the journey is only just beginning, with exciting growth and new horizons ahead.
